TRAVIGNOLI
- information

THE LAND
The characteristics of the
land, its exposition and the climate make TRAVIGNOLI particularly
suitable for high-quality grape and olive growing. The
entire property has a southern exposure and an altitude
ranging from 150 to 400 meters above sea level. This means
that the sun shines on the vines and olive groves for
the entire day facilitating ripening of the crops and
protecting them from stagnant dampness and diseases. The
soil is calcareous and galestroso, full of rocks and stones.
The efficient drainage, preventing rain from stagnating
is very beneficial for the plants.
THE VINEYARDS AND OLIVE GROVES
Experimentation and selection
are aimed at improving production: the 65 hectares of
specialised vineyards include 8 of Cabernet Sauvignon,
1 of Chardonnay and 2.5 of Merlot; the 15 hectares of
olive groves include 4 devoted to intensive cultivation
using a drip irrigation system.
THE
CULTIVATION
Work in the fields is the
first step for obtaining a great wine. Harvesting is done
when the sugar acidity ratio is at its best in the grapes.
Only the ripest and healthier grapes are picked. The same
applies to the olive groves where the combination of favourable
climate and strict production regulations help maintain
and promote all of the valuable components of the product.
Even with the good conditions found at TRAVIGNOLI the
production is limited and selected for each hectare, with
an excellent quality product; a quality which is protected
by the particular attention paid to all of the fermentation
and subsequent processes.

FERMENTATION
When the grapes reach the
cellar, the actual wine-making process begins. The fermentation
temperature is an important feature in wine-making: the
cooling system (which keeps the temperature low) helps
keep the bouquet and fragrance of the wine intact.
EXPORTATION
Thanks to the excellent high
quality of its products TRAVIGNOLI Vineyards - is present
not only in Italy but in most parts of the world - particularly
the United States, Canada, Germany, Holland, Belgium,
Switzerland, Japan, Austria, Denmark, Norway, South Africa
and China.
